Biking – 40-50 km (25-30 mi.) a day over relatively flat terrain with a few small hills—all very manageable for people trying their first biking trip.
Walking – 6-10 km (4-6 mi.) a day on country lanes, footpaths and coastal or forest trails, all on relatively flat terrain, perhaps with an occasional hill.
Biking – 40-50 km (25-30 mi.) a day over terrain that’s relatively flat but will include inclines and the occasional climb or two.
Walking – 8-12 km (5-7 mi.) a day over relatively flat terrain, with occasional steeper climbs.
Biking – 40-50 km (25-30 mi.) a day in gently rolling countryside, with occasional longer climbs to points that are well worth the effort.
Walking – 11-15 km (7-10 mi.) a day over rolling terrain on a variety of surfaces. Most days, one or two steeper climbs to spectacular viewpoints or places of interest.
Biking – Roughly 50 km (30 mi.) a day in consistently rolling countryside, with repeated climbs and longer options available.
Walking – 11-15 km (7-10 mi.) over terrain that varies between rolling and hilly, with a few steeper climbs.
Biking – 50-60 km (30-45 mi.) a day over both level and tougher, hillier terrain with multiple 100 km (62 mi.) options. The routes are designed for avid cyclists and include plenty of chances to push yourself.
Walking – 11-15 km (7-10 mi.) a day over fairly hilly terrain offering lots of challenges. Routes are along high meadow paths and/or well-maintained cliffside or alpine trails, with a few steep ascents to make you feel invigorated.

Flight-see over Canada’s Coastal Range, ride through gorgeous backcountry at Tyax Wilderness Resort, mountain bike on world-class trails in Whistler and then get away from it all at the stunning Clayoquot Wilderness Resort outside Tofino. Connecting all of your must-see Canadian dots by plane, this adventure is over the top (in a good way)!

REQUEST A QUOTEMeet your pilot on the seaplane departure dock and board your plane for a scenic flight to your resort in British Columbia’s Coastal Range. Settle in then gather for a delicious welcome dinner.
For the next two days, you’ll partake in Tyax Wilderness Resort's many exciting activities; bond with their great horses, explore the meadows and forests all around you and get a feel for the backcountry life!
Enjoy a wide range of activities today that could include a flight-seeing tour over the Coastal Range, mountain biking through the surrounding forest, horseback riding and enjoying amazing meals and superb British Columbian wines at the resort.
After an early morning hike, your pilot will pick you up at Tyax and fly you to Whistler. Take a walk along the beautiful Valley Trail before dinner in town this evening.
Head up the Whistler Gondola to explore the spectacular alpine trails. Enjoy lunch in the Rendezvous Lodge on top of Blackcomb Mountain before more hiking or making your way down to the valley for zip-lining or other adventures.
Try your hand at riding some of Whistler's world-class mountain biking trails. Later, fly west to Clayoquot Wilderness Resort, one of Canada’s finest adventure experiences.
Clayoquot Sound is nestled on the western edge of Vancouver Island and is just a short boat ride from the Pacific Ocean. For the next three days, you can partake in activities like salmon fishing, horseback riding, kayaking and rock climbing.
Spend time exploring your superbly-crafted accommodations, with spectacular views of Clayoquot Sound and the lush coastal mountains. Indulge in gourmet meals, with an accent on local seafood and relax at the full-service spa.
Enjoy your last day in the wild. After indulging in your final choice of activity and a delicious lunch you will depart Clayoquot on a short flight to Vancouver, your home for the next two nights.
After a final breakfast at the hotel, you will make your way back to the airport for your flight to points beyond. Bon voyage!
